Unwrap the Love: 3 Heart Medicines for Moms to survive the holidays

Tis the season of giving and often we can forget to give back to ourselves.  

 As we get into this fun, incredible and joyful season that can be at times stressful, I want to share a few practices to refill your cup… 

Breathe work - when you feel tense or stress, take a moment to take a few breaths. For example, 4 counts of inhale and 8 counts exhale. Longer exhales stimulates your parasympathetic system aka your calming mode.  

Incorporate a ritualize skincare practice - when I apply oils, lotions and moisturizers I spend extra time sending gratitude to each part of my body as I massage these into my skin. Sending extra love to all parts of me. 

Buy yourself a favorite drink or treat - tis the season of giving to others but also a season to reflect back at what you have accomplish this year. Don’t forget to treat yourself.
